Glow in the Dark Bubbles

Summer is quickly approaching, which means long days and late nights. We love to spend as much time as we can outdoors in the summer. Life in the hot SoCal desert can mean a lot of very hot afternoons retreating to pools or air conditioning, however, we love to escape back outside as the weather cools and the sun goes down. This means a lot of meals spent outdoors and evenings enjoying the cooler night air.

We try to keep the kids busy and playing. For the most part, they ride bikes, play with friends, and create adventures on their swingset or explore the yard like they are on safari. Sometimes we plan activities to do with them, and one activity I love to participate in is bubbles. We love to create large and unpoppable bubbles. We have even created bubble snakes. One we haven't tried but are excited about this summer are glow-in-the-dark bubbles.

Glow in the Dark Bubbles Solution

The kids participated in a Glow-run at their school one year and glow-in-the-dark bubbles was one of the "hazards" they ran through. The school followed this fun recipe and we are very excited to try it as well. The school used a bubble blowing machine but we plan to use wands and bubble blowing shooters. Whichever way you choose to create your bubbles we are sure they will glow with incredible fun.

Thank you to RVKid.com for the incredibly cool and easy-to-follow recipe. Glow on!
