Best Books: Monsterology

October is finally here, and for kids and kids-at-heart that means that Halloween season is here at last. Our family adores Halloween. We decorate, we dress up, we watch movies, and we read incredible Halloween-themed and inspired books all month long. This month I wanted to share a book from one of our favorite series. We enjoy reading the mock-non-fiction books by Dr. Ernest Drake. Dragonology, Wizardology, and now Monsterology. Monsterology features knowledge of mythical and legendary creatures and monsters from the history of literature. It is an excellent book for Halloween. Now you and your kids can learn all you ever needed to know about kelpies, Krakens, and griffins.

Monsterology gives incredible insight into all the mythical creatures you could ever imagine. Styled after an encyclopedia of animals it reads like non-fiction but carries that magical and mythical mystery like the other -ology books by Dr. Drake. It truly feeds the imagination of kids and adults alike.

Monsterology Book for Boys by Dr. Ernest Drake

There is incredible detail and fun pictures and diagrams to feed the imagination. At nearly 32 pages it will bring to life the incredible creatures of legend and make the reader feel as if they are now keepers of some magical knowledge only provided to a fair few.
