End of Summer Party!!

August is coming to a close and soon Autumn will be here blowing its cool winds and shorter days our way. We decided to seize the moment and have one last blow out an end-of-summer party. We have a projector and the new Avengers just came out on Blu-ray so the kids wanted to have a movie night outdoors so they could lounge with friends on the grass and play on the swing set while watching a movie.

I wanted to do some fun and delicious treats so I did a little Pinterest stalking and found this incredible Italian Soda bar for an outdoor movie night at Thirty Handmade Days. Mique, the blog's creator has some incredible ideas for a low-budget fantastic movie night. I am so excited to set up my own Italian Soda Bar. My kids have Dairy Allergies so we made sure to purchase only dairy-free creamer for our soda bar. There are so many different flavors and types you can choose from, and the texture and taste weren't any different than the full dairy.

We even barbecued for the event, Italian sausage to keep with the theme! Our kids and their friends had a great night, as evidenced by the way they fell asleep at the end of the movie still seated in the pillow pit they had created. I hope your summer ends on a similarly great note.
